Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds Lake Winnipegosis Watershed Planning

The Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds (SAW) is beginning the watershed planning process for the Lake Winnipegosis Watershed in Saskatchewan. The Lake Winnipegosis Watershed includes the land that around the Red Deer, Swan and Overflowing Rivers.

A watershed plan is a collaborative effort between local communities, landowners, and governments to guide how water resources are managed within the watershed. By contributing to the planning process participants can share challenges and concerns in your local watershed to help protect water quality, and support healthy ecosystems and water supply for future generations.

The planning meeting will include a presentation overview on the geography, hydrology and land use of the watershed followed by a discussion on concerns and challenges in the Lake Winnipegosis watershed.

The meeting is being held in person at the Town of Norquay Legion. If you are unable to attend in person, an online option is also available.
